New moniter...

Thinking of getting a LCD, if I can barrow the money. If I can, I want to get this one, but I want to make sure I won't be making a mistake... Because my current CRT is dying, I get headaches from looking at it too long; otherwise I would look things up myself.

I will be watching movies and standard things mostly. Occasionally I will play a game, but mostly adventure and puzzle games, like Myst. I might connect my 360 to it, but it's unlikely.

Really? That's good. I found out I can barrow the money! (Parents are great!) The more good things the better, I would like to order ASAP, so please, MORE REVIEWS!

The response time is as fallows : 12ms typical (Grey to Grey) / 16ms typical (Black to White)
I know that's a little high... will that be OK for my stuff?

u can't go wrong with a Dell Ultrasharp. 20" at 12ms! that's a gaming LCD.. you won't be dissapointed. just make sure you check for dead pixels when you get it.

Response time rating is absolute bullsh*t. My current one is 8ms but the response is distinctly worse than my previous LCD which is supposedly 25ms.

one of the best LCD your money can buy. it uses SIPS panel

i have the 2001FP (non widescreen version). my best 2k hardware purchase..ever. no regret.

we have at least 3 dell 20inch LCD right here (chai, me and GH)

if you want more reviews, do a search at anandtech forum. hundred if not thousand of happy 2001/2005FP users over there.
