Default 9800 PRO Fan failure!

Right now, if it's not one thing, it's another!
ANYWAY, as stated, the fan, and only the fan is going on the card. I know this because it makes buzzing noises, and I have pulled out the card and cleared the small amount of dust off it. Well, I don't want to get another card. I have an open slot right next to it as well. (One on each side) Now is there something I can do to keep from getting another card? I looked a little, and can't find a replacement fan for it; I don't trust people on EBay because no one will offer a guarantee. Would getting a PCI/Slot fan do it?

For the lazy people, I am running a 9800 PRO with standard clock settings.

You can either replace the fan itself with a new one (identical or similar), or buy a new and fancier (better looking, more efficient and less noisy) 3rd part cooler.
It's a matter of cost and personal preference.

Cheers
Olle

Well, as long as it's not too loud, I could care less. The one right now is almost silent until it acts up, but the cheaper the better right now.

Also, I found an image on the net of the cooler installed on my card, here is an image of it. If someone knows where I could buy the fan, that would be great!

Try the Vantec Iberq4 PRO, totally works with it, easy to install, and cheap. Goes for around 50 ringgit or 12 USD. Comes with cheaparse shinny ramsinks and blue LED action to impress the ladies LOL.

Well, it seems that it could be worth it for me to go else ware... As for your suggestion empire23, I looked into it, and it doesn’t appeal to much as I have started to have some problems with the card now. Looks like I waited too long... For those interested, about 1 month. Well, I guess I will start looking for a replacement card. Anything known to be good on AGP that's new?

I wish! First I am still at AGP 8X/8X Pro. (Not to bad, but still a restriction.) Second, I am already in debt because of my monitor and I went all out and got a Dell 2005FPW. (Which I am loving) I do NOT want to waste money on something that won't get utilized. Now that being said, any ideas on a card?
