Hi everyone...I currently have a 6800 gt is it really worth it to replace this with a 7800 gs...or should I just save money and buy a whole new rig...

Save the money. Your processor is not fast enough.

Are you serious? I'm running @ 250X10 right now? Is this still not fast enough for that card?

I would say no, the two cards about the same performance wise.

7800GS is definitely faster, but it's not that much. But if it's 7900GT, then it's quite a different story. Since you are still using AGP, I think it's better to save the money and go for something better in the future.

I can agree to that. 7900GT is a much faster card.

@eg660
I would also wait and purchase a new rig, but I digress the 6800 GT is a fine card. I think you could just upgrade the other parts of the computer( memory, hard drive, etc) and have a very good gaming rig.

upgrading an agp card now is a waste of money anyway...sooner or later you still have to give up and go for pci-e..
