I think I read about this latency issue before, on [H] forums...I think some of them made an observation about the 2405 and that when you moved the mouse, it took a while for the movement to register onscreen. They termed it "input lag" or something. Personally I would always recommend the Viewsonic VX series for good monitors with fast response rates.

Only the older revisions have serious color banding problems when using DVI input. I ran a gradient test the 2007WFP (Rev. A02) on both VGA and DVI and both look exactly the same. Your eyes have to be like ~5cm from the LCD to notice any color banding and it is only visible on gradient tests, and so far I have not noticed any color banding during normal usage. ![]()

I feel everyones pain that are trying to find a good quality CRT monitor. At least in the USA. CRT monitors are disapearing very fast here nowadays . I guess the manufacture's believe that they can manufacture them cheaper than the CRT's monitors now. And you guys know its all about money and budgets. And, like any new technology. These new monitors are very expensive to the consumer compared to their CRT counterparts at the moment. However, they will come down in price eventually. I just bought a Dell 2407 Monitor a few days ago for $747.15 from DELL (revision A02 Mexico the newest revision). And, I have no banding issues what so ever in the Desktop Mode. I believe the banding is caused by the internal processor in the display and that issue was fixed with the newer revision. So, if any of you guys get one of these 2407's from Dell in the future. Get the A02 version and run it in Desktop Mode and you should be safe. |

Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | hah, i managed to find a great deal on 21" sony trinitrons, i got a pair of sony trinitron Sony CPD-G520P's these things are amazing, im running them in 3200x1200@85hz for dualhead desktop. and running one of them for games at 1024x768@160hz for games, couple that with my mouse, the smoothest gameplay in the world sadly i grabbed the last 2 21"s, they have 1 19" left, wich i got the other for my dad, and my sisters each got one of the 17"s its nice having all trinitrons in here. the monitors required minimal work, they are used, theres a small scratch in one of the 17's but the 21"s came rpetty much brand new, with original cables and stuff. and the 19" had a dust problem. and some dirty finger prints ont he oustide, little cleaning and perfect. they are very sensative to electronic noise, like i had one of my soeakers about 3 feet from it, and i could get the screen to vibrate at the same freq as whatever the bass was on my speakers. did a little reorganising. and now i just need a new pc, but im waiting for conroe. going to drop an e6600 and a radeon x1900xtx on a gigabyte lga 775 board. planning on 4 gigs of DDR2 1066, but the rest of its undecided, as i only make $11 usd an hour with my permanent job, and studio work is so rare. i wont even include studio profits. EDIT: www.erpcsales.com
