Arrow Need monitor advice.

I'm being fed up with my crappy monitor, and plan to buy a new one.

I've got my eyes on a Samsung SyncMaster 940B, which is at a reasonable price level. Reviews (that are all about one year old) says this is a great monitor.
Question is if there are other, newer, monitors at the same size and price that are even better for general use?

Comments?

/Olle

I don't think that's a worry. HD or not, the monitor resolution stays the same...
Anyway watching movies is my least use for it.

yup there is one.
the new samsung 971p. the display quality is (it does look better than my 20inch ultrasharp) viewangle is and design is leet...touch sensitive on/off button. and flexible. very flexible. i lowered the panel all the way down, and tilted it a litte so that I do not have to raise my head when looknig at the panel.

Newer Dell panels have new feet, can lower all the way down.

You mean you can lie under the table and still see the monitor staring at you? Wow...

Doesn't fit my requirement regarding price.
940B is ~2500 SEK, 971P is >4000 SEK.
I won't go above 3000 unless I get something way better just above.

You don't mean they both cost about the same (as the other) where you live?

Consumer electronics is generally fairly expensive in Sweden, not least because of the 25% VAT. (Not quite as expensive as in Norway though...)
What interests me more is the price relation between different products, and that shouldn't differ much between different markets.
