IMHO, the GeForce 7300 GT is really most suitable for gaming in the 1024x768 resolution.

Do you really need a 22" screen? If you want good and cheap, why not go for the Dell 20" entry-level LCD? It's going for about RM 999 (USD 289) and is based on a TN panel with about 4ms response time.

Well, the Dell 20" entry-level LCD is also very cheap. You should consider it.

1280x1024 is the sweet spot.

Big screen is good until it starts upsizing lower res...

No man. The 7300GT will not b able to handle 1680x1050 reso. Even my 7950GX2 last time suffered at that reso. Cudn even play Company of Heroes. Was lagging like hell at full gfx options n 1680x1050. The Performance test in COH also showed "Poor" for the 7950GX2. COH was the game that made me switch to the 8800GTX coz I just cudn play COH n I absolutely love that game.

So, unless ure willing to lower the reso to non native at about 1280x768 then yeah the 7300GT will do it for u but then the games r gonna look really blurry. Shudn be a prob with DVDs n all that though. BUT, I reckon go for it man. The 20-22" LCDs r so unbelievably cheap now it's ridiculous. Enjoy the DVDs n a big huge Windows experience 1st. Then pick up a nice new gfx card later.
