Dell's ENTRY vs UltraSharp LCDs

Apparently UltraSharp is more expensive. But is there large difference? Is UltraSharp really sharper and a lot better than ENTRY one? Is it worth the RM480 difference in price?

Usually the panel is better, but lately, the lower end Ultrasharp are using TN panels. So I really don't know. Maybe the features are better?

Depends on which UltraSharp you are refering to. The 19" UltraSharp is using TN which is the same as the non-UltraSharp models, while the higher end models are all using S-PVA/S-IPS

I think TN panels are fine for office use and gaming. I would go for UltraSharp monitors with S-PVA/IPS panels for better colour saturation and viewing angles.

Hehe.. You can guess. If they quote a short response time (5-8ms) and narrower viewing angle, it's very likely a TN panel.

UltraSharp:
17"/19" = TN/P-MVA/PVA
20" = S-IPS/S-PVA
24" = S-PVA
30" = S-IPS

Non-UltraSharp:
TN/P-MVA/PVA

Depends on what are you mainly going to use it for...

If you are picky about colour accuracy and viewing angle avoid TN/P-MVA/PVA at all cost. Otherwise they are quite ok.
