Default Advice for Triple Monitor Setup

Hello all,

I am attempting to setup triple monitors. I have read that it is wise to get two of the same video card so you only have to install one set of drivers. So i went to best buy and bought two NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT's. I attach both of them to my motherboard and boot up the computer. All is fine so far....

I install the latest drivers from NVIDIA, reboot. I then go to the device manager and see there is a problem. The error I get says: Code 12, not enough free resources that it can use.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I am a novice when it comes to video card issues? Please feel free to provide any type of info whether it be basic or advanced. I am really desperate at this point.

Thanks in advance.

Misc Info:
Tyan K8WE motherboard
2GB of RAM
Dual Opterons
both cards are in PCI-express slots

RESOLUTION:

I found out that the BIOS on my motherboard was outdated and needed an update to get the problem fixed. The problem is, is that i cant flash my bios as i dont have a floppy drive. Lol.

So I took out the dual NVIDIA cards and stuck in a couple of radeon cards (one X700 and one X1300) and it works beautifully. Now lets see if bestbuy will let me return the NVIDIA cards.

Check and see if your motherboard supports updating the BIOS using a Windows utility. Many motherboards now do that. Then you can update the BIOS without using a floppy disk.

I think there's Windows utility for both Award and AMI BIOS.
