Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | I have a Dell Inspirion Desktop computer with an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ CPU Speed 2800Hz x2 1024k RAM Vista Basic The initial Dell screen where BIOS is entered states BIOS version 1.0.7 It has a 6150 NVida integrated card and I have purchased a HIS Graphics accelerator to connect my comp to my monitor through VGA and to my LCD through DVI. I have fitted the card and when I come to install the CD it states "Failed to find any installable components!" with a Whit cross in a red circle next to it. My brother has said I need to change something in the BIOS but I am unsure of the next step and so is he. I think the following thing needs to be changed but am not at all sure "PnP/PCI Configurations" Under "Init Display First" (the only option under the above menue) it is currently set to PCI. The other options are Onboard and PCI-E. The graphics card has been put into the availible PCI-E slot and I think it is installed properly as 1) I wore an anti static band 2) I have checked and there doesnt appear to be a seperate power lead needed. Please help and my thanks in advance |

(On a Dell system this may be in your Legacy settings) On reseting BIOS defaults should be a function key like F10 if you need too. Set PCIE as primary as mentioned and hope this helps |
