9600GT or 3870 - Page 6

I use benchmarks as a reference to test changes and see if they improve or degrade performance and use the Everest benchmarks mostly which work fine on Vista.

Switching from XP SP1 to Vista Ultimate X64 Sp1 I gained 1k in 3dmark6 with no system changes.

Like I said I use it for reference not bragging rights lol .. odd it won't run what version of Vista are you using ?

Hehe, I too don't do benchmark..Benchmark in vista always gives lower points for some reason..heck, some test can't even run =_=

scary..can even guess where i get it from

benchmark to me just some numbers..all i care is performance in gaming

Really love to get one 9600 or the 3870 but my PSU and my Processor is severely limiting me.

Heh, i still see people using the same processor (x2 3800+ OCed) you using with DFI Mobo and a 3870 ^^; The only stuff you might need to change is the psu? correct me if i'm wrong.

I always get lower frame rates & lower 3DMark scores in Vista.

Even after installing Vista SP1, i now get even lower amount of 3DMark scores.
