Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | I am building a new computer and looking for an Nvidia chipset video card for the computer. No overclocking of the computer will be done and no game playing. Simply editing videos off digital camcorder as well as still photos and day to day work ie email etc. Any suggestions are welcome. Looking for reasonably price cards. May use Vista but leaning towards XP Pro. |

So, in short, i would say an 8600GT & a Quad core would be ideal for you.If you can't upgrade to a Quad core then get a quality C2D like E6750. | |

In what range are you looking for ?I have heard that eVGA (256-P2-N761-AR) nVidia GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 2DVI/HDTV PCI-Express Video Card is good video card and it is available for little less than $177 Specifications are as follows -: Mfr P/N: 256-P2-N761-AR Chipset: GeForce 8600 GTS Engine Clock: 675 MHz Video Memory: 256MB DDR3 Memory Interface: 128-bit Memory Bandwidth: 32 GB/s Bus: PCI-Express x16 RAMDAC: 400 MHz Pixel Pipelines: 32 Max.
