price wise...8800gt sli is almost the price of 3870X2. how bout for the newer cards? (like 9800gtx?) if me, i vote for 3870 X2

I prefer 3870X2 because it doesn't require 2 PCIE slot. But I rather get a 9800GTX. It's faster, consume less power.

i suggest you dont buy any current card for now

hold your horses for new HD4000 series next month or nvidia new cards in july

Out of those 2 the HD3870x2 ..... SLI stinks

Crossfire also supports more than one chipset without requiring patches NVidia don't want you to have ....

If the motherboard is the one from the signature then the 3870X2 is the way to go. Besides that depends on the budget you have, space in the case and PSU

well i was checking this for me and my friend
anyway i have tested that card on my pc and it is working just fine on my pc with HIPER 580W and it have enough space in my pc LOL

Judging by the cards he's asking about, he's looking for performance. Personally, I would get a single 8800GT/S for now and upgrade when the "real" next-gen is released.

Between 8800GT SLI and a single card 3870X2 I would choose a 8800GT SLI system because it has far more performance than a single X2 card
