Well ran this with the "trial" key and not impressed.

Seems it failed even though I saw the tests run and won't allow a second run. This is kinda dumb for a benchmark program isn't it ? I mean if you don't have at least 2 runs you have no reference for your system to compare

I give this a thumbs down and here is my result(NOT) in all its glory

ORB - World of Performance

Well lets see what they have to say

To whom it may concern,

I represent a technology and news forum called techARP.com. Yesterday I downloaded your trial version of Vantage and used a valid email to obtain a trial key. Unfortunately after the tests ran it came up with a failure when posting the results.

ORB - World of Performance

Of course I can't use the key a second time or request a different one. I am a writer / reviewer for the aforementioned site and we use Futuremark products such 3DMark6 for test results in our reviews and articles. I think its pointless to have a trial version that only runs once as my personal rule of thumb is run it 3 times and take the middle result. Could you please advise me what to do or validate another key ? At the present time I cannot see us using Vantage in reviews because we are not going to buy a licensed copy without being able to try it .. would you ?

David ****

You should just skip Futuremark software in any benchmarks.

If I don't hear from them I will. There are other benchmarks out there that can be used for any future reviews or articles I write

Well diplomacy pays off I got a response from Futuremark

Hello David;

Thank you for your interest in our products. As a reviewer you actually get our software for free. Please find below a press link for 3DMark Vantage and a registration code for a professional key. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Regards,
Daisy
