Well it's good for office applications. Image editing, word processing, excel spreadsheets, powerpoint slides, etc. This thing will do the job just fine.

We'll have to wait for EVGA to release it & for some reviews.I don't expect it to run today's power hungry games but then why are they releasing it if it can't be used to play games.EVGA may have the proper answer.

Actually the process works like this :-
-------------------------------------

1. DisplayLink software processes and interprets graphical commands from the operating system.

2. The graphics are compressed using unique DisplayLink adaptive technology.

3.Compressed data packets are sent via USB.

4.The adapter decodes the compressed data back into usable graphics data.

Well, the USB bus will be the bottleneck. No matter how efficient their compression is, the slow USB bus will really kill the frame rate when large textures come into play.

I agree !!

I still have a 1200 baud modem here lets capture and compress high resolution screenshots of Crysis and send them to each other
