Default HD3870 problem

Hey all, i was wondering if any body could tell me what these are? I 've recently bought the card, and i hope it isn't defective. A also am asking people who can answer, so no guesses please as time is critical (RCV'ed an RMA #). Thanks for looking.

Visual artifacts. It could be a software related, because it's localised, problem not hardware...
Please give more details regarding the issue (if it appears in other games, driver version).

Sometimes happens when a videocard overheats too, check your temperatures.

Looks like the game is missing some textures or something.
Make sure that your game is at the latest version

I suggest you stress test the video card with 3DMark as well. If you see artifacts, then it's possibly defective or
temperature related. Check your temps.

It's always appears throughout the entire game play from the beginning. I didn't realize it until i bumped tt medium settings. My settings were always on low prior to this card. BF2142 does look okay, and have the Crysis Demo, none either. Thanks. Here's what i have.

Pentium D 935
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
Memory: 2X 2GB Dual Crucial Memory PC6400
Video Card: Gigabyte GV-RX387512H-B
Harddisk: WD 200GB SATA-WD2000JS
CD/DVD Drive: NEC CD/DVD-RW+/-DL
CRT/LCD Model: Dell 19" FP LCD
Case: Thermaltake M9 VI1000BWS
Sound Card: On board Realtek HD ALC888 codec
PSU: Antec 500W Smart Power/SP500
Software: Windows XP SP2

If it's only BF2 then try installing the latest drivers and reinstalling BF2

Well, installing the lastest driver and updates for the game might work but then i think thats normal artifacts i think xD..not some hardware problem
