Default Graphic distortion help

What is this ? artifacts? so i just call it graphic disortion.

I noticed this graphic distortion happens after i play some time in the game, say 20 minutes , than it starts to appear

There will be no graphic distortion until some time(20 minutes or so) IF i start the game for the first time.

If i quit the game and rerun the program, there is ALWAY graphic distortion from the beginning, so i need to restart my pc everytime this graphic distortion appears

i tried various drivers, old to new to omega and it still persist

Same to other game i have played exception for crysis(different distortion), there was no graphic distortion when i played crysis

any idea

below is my system (yes i know it old, don`t laugh )

Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional
OS Service Pack Service Pack 2
DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)

Motherboard Name Asus P4S533-E (6 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DDR DIMM)
Motherboard Chipset SiS 645DX
System Memory 1280 MB (DDR SDRAM)

Display:
Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT (Omega 2.169.21) (256 MB)
3D Accelerator nVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT AGP

I am leaning towards the GPU overheating as it seems time dependent(after 20 minutes or so). You have also tried a few different drivers.

If you want to try cleaning your cooler Gen and I discussed his ideas the other night on MSN. Everything in contact with air suffers oxidation and he has some great ideas. Trying them out myself ASAP

hmm i don`t think it;s GPU overheating as i played hours on Crysis before(i played crysis and this game the same time)
i will try more drivers in the mean time will reinstall directx9c and reformat OS as last resort

and the temp for GPU is around 53+- when gaming, it not that hot..

It could be DirectX. Try reinstalling the graphics driver (after cleaning out the old one) and DirectX as well.

Replying to just this post yours temps are fine for your card but that is just GPU. What are your ambient card temps as memory and regulators also play an important role in card stability. Correct me if I am wrong but Crysis will load down the GPU itself more where other games will use the memory more for paging and mapping.

I still feel something is breaking down on your card and remember the regulators supply power to the GPU and memory .. they are so important

Anyway feedback and let us know how things are going

hmm not sure how to get my ambient card temps.ok i will try to max my cpu fan speed and take out the casing, maybe it will help

anyway i tried to do a clean installation of dirext9c but i screwed it up.. and now it's stuck at 8.1 even thou i install d9 lol, oh well i have to format and do a clean installation.

---------------
it not overheating problem, i came out of a building and reenter the building and that graphic disortion pop out.
just started 2 minutes of the game.

i go get sp3 and do a fresh installation soon enough
