Question HD 4850 or 4870? (ViewSonic VX2255wmb)

Hi!

I'm looking for a video card to "comfortably" play on a 22" LCD (1680 x 1050)

Do you think the 4850 will be quite enough for this job, or do I really need a 4870?

thanks

4850 should be sufficient. What type of games do you play?

for 16x10 gaming, 4850 is sufficient. 4870 is kind of stuck in between 16x10 and 19x12. it's too fast at 16x10, and just a wee slow at 19x12.

go 4850!

he's talking about screen resolution in which you're playing your games
16x10 = 1680x1050
19x12 = 1920x1200

gainward is a reputable manufacturer. their products never failed to fascinate me because it's not boring. you get additional stuff like faster clock speed, latest display connectivity and most of the time, beefy cooler.
Easily one of the most interesting card makers around. but do expect to pay a little bit more.
