Dual DVI doesn't mean having 2 DVI connectors on the gfx card. The ACD has a single DVI plug that plugs into a single port on the gfx card.

It just has to be a Dual DVI single connector. Most ppl have the wrong idea n think dual dvi means the monitor needs to be plugged into 2 DVI connectors.
3-way SLI? But using the older GeForce 8800 GTX or GTX 280?

Actually the correct term is called dual-link DVI.

8800GTX Tri SLI. I dont see any need to upgrade them seeing as they're still uber powerful. I'm getting these results on my daily use settings of Q6600 at 3ghz and the gfx cards at stock speeds.

19000 marks- 3DM06 default test
12000 marks- 3DM06 test at 2560x1600
17000 marks- 3DM Vantage

Besides, upgrading to Tri GTX280 is gonna cost me a year's worth of food. I dont wanna starve for it.

It's never enough I guess. Upgradeatis is a never ending disease. Hehe.

I reckon Crysis is gonna require 3-4 generations of cards b4 actually being able to play it at full options n reso just like Far Cry. Funny thing is..... by then the gfx kinda looks ol skool just like looking back at Far Cry now.

Oh I just realised I made a mistake in the 3DM scores I posted above. 19000 marks in 3DM06 default test was done with Quad core at 3.6ghz n the GTXs overclocked to near death.

12000 marks in 3DM06 at 2560x1600 is 3.0ghx and stock GTXs.
17000 marks in 3DM Vantage is 3.0ghz and stock GTXs

Your system really looks dated now.

It was really high end just a year ago...

Computer components get "outdated" real fast, even though they are really still fast enough for the job.

Trying to poison him for another upgrade???

Ya it's still a very fast rig. Besides, I hardly game on it now except for Counter Strike Source which gets me something like 300FPS at 2560x1600 and all gfx settings maxed out. So I have no complains there.

N poison wont work on me. I mostly game on the PS3 n plasma tv now. So easy without all the pain of DRM n bugs n patches. I'm just really sick of all those issues with PC games. Can u imagine, I still havent even played Gears of War since I bought it? Damn thing just wont load! All I get for rm150 is the splash screen n then it stops there.
