Default laptop to TV

lemme explain the problem..

when I want to connect my laptop to the TV using a VGA connecter, the circuit for the whole house trips! then I tried connecting only by the sound jack(for the sound to be played on the tv), same thing happened. It trips when I touch the laptop connectors. when I run my laptop on batteries it has no problem.. but when I connect the charger to the socket, even without switching the socket on, the whole house trips...

why arhh..?

Sounds like the socket has bad earthing... Try a different socket, preferably one using different wiring?
