depending on what CAD application and usage, you might want to consider the lowest available Quadro.

anyway HD4830's closest nVidia match is 9800GT.

i'm using the Galaxy 9600GT now.

Quadro is too expensive
to tell you the true, i do now know what is the true advantage of using Quadro for CAD. I do know most CAD machines uses it, but all i need is some 3D capabilities

nah, Quadro is only needed when you are working, not studying

i was reading around, Quadro renders every detail or something like that, more for "precision" & "accuracy".

LOL!! No need for SLI unless you are already using the fastest available single card and it's not as fast as you like.

Triple SLI merely means you are hooking up three NVIDIA graphics cards for extra processing power. It's just like SLI, only of the menage a trois variety.

However, there's not much value in SLI-ing low or middle range cards. It's cheaper and better to get a single high-end card. SLI is only useful if the single high-end card isn't fast enough.

so far the only card that I've ever felt tempted to SLI is the 9600GT.

specifically now, the 9600GT lowpower lowprofile.

i think if one has SLI board, then SLI could be considered but must consider the TDP. for example, a GTX295 would be having about 290w TDP but to SLI GTX275 would take nearly 400w and SLI GTX260 takes around 360w.

Haha, I thought TechARP once had this article where one can mod Geforce cards into Quadro?
