Default Network/Workgroup?

I've got 2 computers at home now, somehow managed to get them both online through the new router. Now I wanted to configure them so I could access the drives on each pc from the other one, so messing around I set up a workgroup. Only problem is it doesn't work but I can't remove it. Any help?

Also, how do I configure it so I can access/transfer files from one pc to the other?

the computer must be in the same workgroup.. then right click on the drive that you want to have access you will see sharing and security menu.. click it and the sharing and security window will come out.. and then there is a sentence 'if you understand the risk and bla bla bla', just click it.. and then just enable the sharing.. you can access the whole hdd..
ps: you can also do this to a specific folder..

Few thing you need to check out

1. IP on the same segment
2. Same workgroup as they mention as well
3. Check your folder sharing security setting KayFX mention as well
4. Try to on the guest account if still not able to
5. Remember to have restart on both computer after the change of workgroup
6. If simple file sharing mode not working you need to go into folder options -> View (Tab) -> Advance setting -> untick the use simple file sharing. After that configure your permission and access user detail

So how to make them the same workgroup? If they're in the same workgroup then I should be able to see both in

My Network Places -> View Workgroup Computers

right? But in my new pc I only see this pc, in the old one I see both but can't access this new one...

If cannot, then try setting static IP, same subnet mask and gateway. Remember to enable the IP range on your router too.
