Anyway moving on, I've scanned my workstation for viruses and adwares but none turned up or at least what turned up couldn't have been the cause of the slow down. Next, apparently there are packets being exchanged between the workstation and the router despite not having any network related applications running or for the sake of troubleshooting, nothing was running but yet data packets are being exchanged. Any similar encounters or suggestions? Windows XP/SP2 Aztech 600E (Router Mode) - DHCP Server: Off |

My torrent speed has gone down to a crawl, as in under 5KB/s overall but I can still direct download stuffs at about 40-50KB/s. I'm wondering whether it's Streamyx or what. I did restart my pc, etc. and even my modem and router. Same too... The weird thing is, my Bitcomet is showing upload and download speed of about 5KB/s but in the download list, nothing is downloading. ![]() My colleague has reported a slowdown too.

Frankly speaking, downloading my daily pod-cast material is driving me up the wall. Fyire: Bitcomet uses a wide range of ports but then again, if it's a blanket "cap" on all torrent data chunks, we're pretty much screwed. |

That's gonna be one hell of a blanket system for TM to implement. Packet filtering by content/type tends to be more towards one of those 'black magic' areas of IT. So far, I've yet to see a solution that implements that properly.

Have you checked the sync speed of your line? If you have other computers on your local network are internal network transfers slow as well?
