Reviewers seem to test the raw speed which honestly, most people don't really care. It's easy to review it that way, but pointless.

Well, the problem is no one knows just how well the router will stand up to serious traffic until they actually use it for some time.

Anyway, until today, I can't get the WRT54G to work wirelessly with any P2P software, except Bittorrent (with limited downloads at any one time). Even then, the router goes nuts quite often and I need to reboot it to get the connection back up.

Umm.. I don't think that is really the case.

My old 3Com wireless router has no trouble handling even heavy loads. No idea why this new WRT54G is so "weak".

Hmm I know my linksys was pretty POS until I updated with the latest firmware.

Chai, maybe you want to try and get that 'Gamer' version of the Dlink router. overpriced one, but i heard it's quite stable.

Otherwise, setup a low end PC in a small casing and use it as a dedicated router. Could even be a File server running a NAS. LOL.

Because I don't think anyone is using a reliable one here, I'm talking about WIRELESS router.

peaz's model is an old one, so it's out of the question already. Adrian's bad, mine's bad, who else?

Mine's old... but good. But one thing though, never tried any P2P on wifi before.
