It hangs everytime when there's a lot of simultaneous connections. The only solution is this is cut the power off and on again! Anyone out there using a better router than this? Or should I just set up a PC? |

But if you do have a spare PC lying around, get 2 NICs and setup a linux installation. 1 NIC for Modem, another NIC to the switch (LAN) Setting up the DHCP server and routing may not be as simple for a regular windows user, but it's not too hard either. There are lots of guides on this. one thing's for sure. it's damn stable. Also, you probably only need a p3 machine with 128MB of RAM. u can probably run a tiny linux kernel that runs off a USB thumbdrive too. |

I also had problems with it unitl i updated it. I'll try to find the link for you. It's quite hard to find since it's a discontinued product. As for links to setup a linux router, off hand I can't remember any. But basically, you'll be setting up the rules and using iptables to work out the routing, if i'm not wrong |

Reviewers seem to test the raw speed which honestly, most people don't really care. It's easy to review it that way, but pointless. | |
