Exclamation Having problems with my AZTECH ADSL USB MODEM, need urgent help!

I just bought a new Aztech USB ADSL Modem to connect to streamyx and there is some problems when I try to connect: It will display "Error 680: There was no dial tone". I connected the telephone lines properly, install it properly but when I run the DSL TEST, the INTERFACE shows green(running fine) and MODEM shows red(error) . I got the VCI and VPI parameters right as well... Which part I do wrong here?? Please help me here...

Download latest drivers. Install. If you have two RJ11 (telephone) ports, check that you didn't plug the line into the one meant for the telephone set.

Your DSL line is faulty or not activated yet.

ok, one question, what is the line type for standard Malaysian telephone lines? 56k voice, 56k digital or 64k digital?

I hope this is the problem with my modem...

"Standard" lines are copper, but some areas are fiber-optic cable. Shouldn't matter though, unless you live in an area where there's FTTH. I hear there's FTTH in some condos. Have you tested the modem with a working line ?

Nope... maybe I should... thx for the advice!
The lines at my area is copper lines... but that doesn't matter actually. What matters is the line type on the c/o side.
