i Did that..i was saying i am on a dynamic ip address.. how do i make a static ip address
Do i still need to portforward even i am not on a router?

You can't make yourself using static IP. And there's no reason to have a static IP unless you are running a server or something.

No there's no need to portforward. Do you have any firewall running?

Window XP SP2 firewall... i tried to off it.. same result..

i go get some firewall software and see what happens

Try removing all firewall, don't use them first until you solve the problem.

If there's a problem with that port, try using a different port.

Everyone using ADSL have a dynamic IP. Port forwarding has nothing to do with your modem's actual IP on the Internet. What you need is your PC's IP on your own network.

So, find out what your PC's IP is by using ipconfig in the Command Window and set that in as the Destination IP.
