They are connected by 10/100 Cat5 and 2 linksys PCI cards and a router. One machine contains the HDD for all the data, the other is a KIOSK that references a shared network drive, but the KIOSK is SUPER SLOW...... while trying to connect with the "main" machine. Connections are through a wired router. Any clues on how to speed it up???? I mean it is REALLY slow!!!!!!! Thans, Old Man Ishtim |

Just off the top of my head, why don't you try... 1. Fixing the IP for each PC. 2. Setting the network cards to run at 100mbps duplex. Would be good if you can also ping both the router and each PC and see what kind of ping times you get.
