Default Malaysia Streamyx problem

Hi , this is my 1st post at here.

i had used this streamyx service for more than 1 year.

But there is some problem going on in this 1 year time.
the problem i facing is ISP can't assign a WAN IP address for me every 3 or 4 times per month.
after 24 hours, i can get assigned a WAN IP & can using it normally. since its not a big problem for me, so i didnt make any complain.

BUT the problem is, since few days ago, it happened to me again. BUT this time, it didn't go back to normal after 24hours, it is more than 5 days already that i didnt assigned a WAN IP address by my ISP, which makes me only can using 56k dial up only for this moment.

So is it the TMnet (ISP provider) problem ??or my PC problem??

Check your modem DSL light. Is it flashing?

Is your computer connected to the modem directly? If so, what's the error message you get when you fail to connect?

Well, for troubleshsooting purposes, you need to use a PC to connect DIRECTLY to the modem and use it in bridge mode to connect to Streamyx.

Remember, you need to switch it from the router mode to the bridge mode, and use Windows XP to connect to Streamyx. If you can do that successfully, then the problem lies with the modem/router, rather than Streamyx.

I am facing the same problem as well. The same incident had happend to me for a few times already. Sometimes I waited a few minutes and I get to assign a WAN IP. Sometimes I need to wait for days. Sometimes I even get a wrong login and and password but I've checked and my login name and password is correct?
