XP - no problem
vista - disconnected from router, requires reboot to work again. tested different drivers, still the same.

Using WEP? WPA2? What router? could be the router's problem actually. I had a IBM Thinkpad with the Intel BG wifi card that can kill on of my older router when other notebooks with the same card won't. But on other routers it's ok.

there is a known issue with the 3945ABG chipset and certain wireless routers which use a particular chip..

There is a workaround for the 3945ABG.. you have to disable a setting in the adapter properties in XP

I cant recall what the setting is
