Default Need help with this issue (ADSL modem with wireless-G router)

I bought this Belkin : ADSL2+ Modem with Wireless-G Router recently and have been using without any issue for 2~3 week until I notice something happen recently.
  1. My Internet seems to slow down a lot
  2. Unknown blinking(wireless data transfer) occurs even my PC is off
  3. Internet download (http / ftp) seem to hang or stop before it can be complete

These has been bothering me for days now. So I ran a few test.

1) Shutting down Bitcomet and download AVG Free for one night
Result: Download hangs without complete download

2)Changing the wireless pre-shared key and reset the modem
Result: Nothing changes, download speed is as terrible as using a 486 system to play counter-strike

3) Shutdown my firewall (Zone Alarm)
Result: Again, nothing change.

4) Test my internet speed at speedtest.net
Result: Show my internet seems to running at full speed (download & upload)

From all these tests result, I some how assume that my internet has been used by other people beside myself now.

What do you guys think ? Is there any other possible cause beside this ?

Maybe you can check the modem for it's status/log on how many IP is connected to your modem.

Also, check that you have your DNS set correctly aka streamyx DNS I presume.

If all still fails.... blame streamyx, I had a few slow internet days also lately.. ssseeeeshhhh ....

Actually, I've been experiencing the slowdown (especially for certain sites) for the past 2-3 weeks. Something's wrong with Streamyx for sure.

But mikegas is right. Check your router and see how many IPs are connected to it.

Hmm.. Wait, you are still here in Malaysia??? I thought you left for the States already.

Hmm.. Could it be their DNS servers?

Hey thanks for the info. I've confirm that problem lies on Streamyx (again >.> typical). Thanks for the tip about checking the IP connection in the modem router. Tonight gonna do some CabaalSEA with friends it's been awhile since I retired from MMO
