Default Fifteen minutes to crack WPA protocol, says researcher

Awww, my router doesn't support WPA2

BetaNews | Fifteen minutes to crack WPA protocol, says researcher

Quote:
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is considered a superior encryption protocol to the aged and inherently flawed WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy), but it is not without its vulnerability, as one researcher is preparing to demonstrate.
bit-tech.net | WPA crackable in fifteen minutes

Quote:
Erik Tews and Martin Beck's research may lead companies to ditch wireless altogether and move back to good old copper.
If you thought that your wireless network was secure because you use WPA, think again: researchers have worked out a method of cracking the code in under fifteen minutes.

What are the chances of having such people around your neighbourhood lol

Well, i'm using restricted MAC access and WPA, safe enough to last for few more years.
