Do you use a password manager to manage your passwords?

    Dashken Administrator!

I'm thinking of using one. But holy cow... is it troublesome... :faint:

Any experience in using one? Recommendations? Any feedback is welcomed.

I'm now looking into KeePass Password Safe.

The thing is Excel's password protection appears to be quite weak... Still, it's better than none! :D

You can't possibly remember all your passwords! So many websites, so many logins, so many different applications, LOL!!

haha.. that why i always stick to a common formula.. e.g. it should be a phrase. then it's easier to remember i suppose..

    goaskyourmother for wifi router

    goaskbigboss for server password

    whykeepasking etc

For me it's 1Password. It has an awesome Mac and iOS app and the database syncs over the air. It also has a great web-browser plugin to make my life easy. :)

For me, I use the same password for most, and regularly change them to the same password, especially the important ones. Other not so important one I use a standard but not dictionary word.

Now, all my banking and transactional sites have 12-18 alphanumeric + symbols passwords. no way you can remember them.

Yup, same for me. So what I usually do it, I have to remember the one password for all the sites, and change them regularly. That way, I don't need to use a password manager and still be relatively safe. Thankfully, I don't do a lot of online transactions.

But I don't practise this for other not so important sites like FB, forums, emails etc. But I still use a non dictionary word based password.

I can remember my common passwords but if you take away my keyboard, I won't be able to tell you the exact password :haha: :haha: :haha:

 I use common phrases for most of my accounts. Sometimes I have to play guessing games

But I sometimes do keep a spreadsheet containing my username and the unique phrase of the password.

adrian & chai: press and hold shift..then.. asdfghjkl;'

very straightforward.. more fun if you have a notebook keyboard. like swiping a credit card.
