Is it like network broadband?
Dial up?
Cable?

streamyx is a broadband internet service, ADSL and SDSL.

And they are nutorious for their downtime!

haiz.. its depavali... everyone(especially the c2pid tmnet people which they cant take a rest) is taking a rest... gee... someone shud really bomb their server whenever we had the chance...

ishtim... does ur ISP always has their down times ? any of ur ISP in ur country is bad as ours ?

I have never had outage, unless bad storm. Most fiber-optic cables are underground, but telephone lines are in the air.

What are typical download rates for Streamyx? How much is the service?

I usually get 160-200Kbps and it costs $40 (~RM100)/month.

hehehe..

dialup here cost :
0.5sen per minute for ISP (Telekom or Jaring)
1.0sen per minute for telephone line provider (Telekom)

1.5sen per minute = 90sen per hour

i'm a heavy user & it cost me about RM90 for my usage..

i'm on RM88 streamyx...
next month it will be RM66 .. unlimited 384/128 kilobits
