we do not have the capability of modifying a flower to any shape/color we want... yet it is either a remarkable coincidence that the flower ended up looking like a bird when viewed from that angle, but it was more likely a result of natural selection, as trinity mentioned. a flower looking like a bird would have the advantage of attracting birds that are attempting to mate, so that when the bird rubs against the flower, some of the pollen sticks to it, and the bird becomes an effective pollinator there are many examples of this in nature, such as some flowers that either look and/or smell like female wasps, so when the male wasp attempts to copulate, they end up accidentally pollinating all of them
