Reputation: 122 ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 5 | Please excuse me for my use of bad-language. I have the strong urge to curse now. I am dead furious when I learnt why my colleague showed up late today. She was robbed on her way to work. A motorbike stopped in front of her, snatched her bag, and ran away. While ran away the bastard looked at her and smiled. All these happened on 8.15AM in Section 14 PJ. I feel like killing the bastard. My poor colleague, it's her first salary. Her treasured handphone (bought by her mom) is stolen, her company ID and security card. Even her IC and everything, including her bus ticket for going back hometown tomorrow is stolen. ****ing bastards. ****ing shame all these has to happen in a very well-developed satellite city called PJ. Apparently the security and armed force are very under-developed. I consider her to be really lucky. She has yet to be one of the snatch victims who suffered from injuries or even death. But still the impact it had on her mentally, is grevious enough to make us all feel so dead sorry for her. She came in the office unlike her usual cheery self, her eyes were swollen from crying 2 hours after the incident. She was alone and away from her hometown and just moved to Section 14 a week ago, and had her first taste of PJ's ugly side. When I accompany her to make report due to company ID cards lost, she kept on telling me that her mind can't stop reliving the whole incident, she was shaking teribly, she still had to stay in this new place for another month (she paid the rent already) but somehow she can't bear to walk alone to work anymore. And we can't accompany her to work coz we live in different places. Sad. It is so easy to lose faith of our "protectors' of people". This is probably the thousandth crime that happened in PJ without any crime commiters caught. only when somebody really died then attention and mass media coverage will be given regarding to this matter. After a while things will fade and nobody will give damn to this anymore. Shame on this country's culture to like to work things on surface only. KL has the world's third tallest building and is always flooded during heavy rain. Damansara is one of the best upper class range towns and is always packed with traffic jam. UM is one of the oldest university's in M'sia and the rankings dropped to 168 from 89. Rapid KL is still called Rapid KL but works otherwise. The Parliament's toilet is still leaking and we are still hearing bloody stupid excuses from SV about why it's under repaired. SV said: it's just like couples in love, when relationship grows older so it will go broken. WTF does it has anything to do with toilets??? Why do we still has to put up with these nonsense and idiots earning more than us, drives bigger cars and lives in bigger houses and all these he can get by muttering crap in the parliament? I'm not sorry to say that the 2020 vision will never be achieved. Not with these humans running our country. Edit: Race of perpetrator has been removed to avoid unnecessary conflict of discussion. Thanks

And then she was blocked by the thief and not snatched from behind. If it's the other way round......*oh shit, I can't help feel horrid about what may happen* Psy: poor Pak Lah's with his weak cabinet of "worn old shoes", he'll not go far.

Yeah, our security systems in our place is not good, sorry to say that. Where are all the police patrol who are doing their daily rounds in the streets? And yes - the authorities will DO something when anything untowards happen. I'm so tired of this already. They installed all sorts of cameras and signboards when the snatch-theft victim case is around. What is all that? Hmm... we know that most problems like that comes from our people's complacence. When they got something uh like the best varsity in the world, they'll sit back and tell the whole world about it, then do nothing about the system. Then they blew the system up and sweep the problems under the carpet and pretend that this problem doesn't happen before. Woooh. And same as the firecracker incident. The Government banned firecrackers but I'm now seeing these young folks still playing 'em, making earth-shaking noises. Ugh. That's the serious mockery of law, isn't it? *Sigh*... Let's pray for the young woman to be safe. We hope this incident will not happen to her anymore. P.S: I'm sorry if I'm very harsh at the university thingy just now. Well, that's the truth, isn't it? |

Everytime I look at the situation in this country, I just bang my head on the wall. The first thing to do must be to cut down on corruption. For all the talk about busting corruption, nothing but lip service seemed to have been paid to the idea. They toss out some scrapegoats and pretend it's over and done with. But we all know better, right? As long as blatantly corrupt and idiotic ministers like Samy Vellu remain in power, everyone will keep to the status quo. Why change things? It's business as usual. If we can only cut down on corruption, we don't have to contend with a police force that seems more intent on collecting fines and bribes than upholding the law. Instead of a security force, the police force appears more like the Triads in that they are more interested in collecting protection or service fees than actually protecting us. Look at the massive campaign the police organizes every festive season. They engage thousands of cops in season-long campaigns aimed at catching people speeding home on the highways. Why so much emphasis on collecting fines? Why aren't these cops on the beat enforcing the law and ensuring that thieves don't take opportunity of the situation. Yes, they claim their objective is to reduce traffic accidents, but we all know how uncommon it is to see the police around unless it's the festive season. Then we see them EVERYWHERE, collecting fines and/or bribes. Just came back from a trip in Singapore. Can't help noticing how clean and tidy the city is. Can't help comparing our country with Singapore either. Just look at their police personnel. A world of difference. Totally professional, courteous and AFAICS, generally very honest. When will we see that in Malaysia?

In there, if you really throw a tiny wad of rubbish on the streets, the Singaporean police will nab you. Whattabout here? Our folks' most famous mindset: "Oh, that's not my ROAD/STREETS, I can do whattever I want to do here. Anyway it's the janitor's job..." And this problem goes on and on.... Also, I hate the way most people park their cars in the shopping complex. They could park whatever place they could park, like blocking the EMERGENCY EXIT door, not parking on the yellow boxes, park at the aisle on the middle of the roads.......... And the worse thing is these law-breakers, 9/10 of 'em are driving luxurious cars, (like, you know what...).... |
