So who watches American Idol?

I missed the top 12 guys' performance but caught the top 12 girls' performance tonight.

IMHO, Antonella Barba was the worst singer. She was off-key and her pitch was all over the place.

The only thing she had going for her was her looks... and even that's marginal, compared to Haley Scarnato and Amy Krebs, IMHO.

But the diva of the night was no other than the superb Lakisha Jones!!! The girl sure can sing! In fact, she's in a league of her own.

I think Lakisha's made her name already IMHO. Even if she doesn't win this competition, she'll have record companies lining up to sign her up.

But from what the judges said, it appeared that they did poorer than the girls.

Two other girls, who are definitely better than her, got kicked out before her.

I just watched the delayed telecast on TV just now.... the guys... err. except for a handful few, they kinda suck this time...

I totally missed the guys' show, but well there will be a new round next week.

Still, I cannot get over how people can actually vote out those two girls when Antonella Barba was obviously the worst singer bar none...

I think I agree, I wasn't able to catch all the female performances.

Most of the black females were really really good. Only a handful of the guys can actually match up to the ladies.

I was also surprised that the indian kid (no offense to anyone from India

) didn't get eliminated!

On Sanjaya, agreed.

On Antonella, also agreed.

Would add that Sundance Head's performance does not make any impression on me.

Instead of saying most of the blacks females are good, I would rather say that the blondes are not making any impact on me (comparing to -- of course! -- Lakisha, Jordin Sparks, Gina Glocksen).

Agree with the judges that the girls are outshining the guys this season.

Having said that, I really like Blake Lewis (the beat boxing is a plus). There are a few other guys that have potential, IMHO -- more on that as the show moves along, I suppose.
