Spiers, who kidnapped and raped the woman in 1997, was sentenced on Wednesday to eight years jail.

That sounds remarkably like the Selangor's ex-chief minister, Muhammad Muhammad Taib who blamed God for illegally marrying the Sultan's daughter and lying to the Sultan about it.

Yup, Malaysia-Today posted a copy of the letters he wrote to the Sultan.

First, he denied he illegally married the Sultan's daughter in Thailand, as was reported in the newspapers. I believe he said they were out to discredit / slander him.

Finally, after proof of his illegal marriage was printed in the newspapers, he finally wrote a letter to admit that he did it, but he blamed God for it.

This guy didn't even have the balls to admit in person and face the music. He chose instead to send a letter to the Sultan. He also didn't have the balls to admit it was his fault. Instead, he blames God for his inability to control himself. Ball-less.
