in the grand scheme of thing, i personally think they have to. otherwise majority of malaysian consumers would be out of touch with the reality. petro production is said to have hit its peak, and malaysians need to wake up.

but the gov needs to return something back to the rakyat.

Yeah, this is expected. Stupid people queuing up at all petrol station. Major traffic jam everywhere! I heard from radio people are fighting over some RM50 savings at most! Sigh...

back after filling up both the cars full of petrol.damn tired - -...all the petrols station full of cars :/ and no 1 directing the traffic to the station..Heck,i even heard people getting into fights just for filling up petrol :S

I fill up my tank at around 6pm just now. It rained pretty heavy, might be the reason why it wasn't packed. At least my tank was pretty empty.

Well its a government subsidized commodity. Prices go up, they can only absorb so much.

Its a buck per gallon more now here. I paid $4.42 a gallon yesterday (down a tad).

And since fuel is a commodity, it will increase prices in everything as fuel is a variable cost of manufacturing and transporting raw and finished goods.
