Hehe... me, with family just now having lunch at Nando in 1Utama.

Then I go restock myself some more jeans and slacks... until I got so frustrated at the slow service in Parkson, and my Maybank card isn't working (maybe low cash) and a HUGE queue... needless to say I bought one pair of nice jeans instead of two.

I need to go back there and buy the remaining one tomorrow or whenever possible.

Other than this, the place is pretty nice!

That's the problem - I should have gone out to a nearer place like Metro Prima to restock my slacks and jeans the day before... but my ma told me to go buy them during Christmas season because it'll be less people.

Wrong choice... it's like many more times more people inside. I must go back there, maybe tomorrow, and get another pair. I need the free bag, or whatever it is!

Hehe.. I think only Malaysians (and Singaporeans) are this crazy about shopping during the holidays.

Guys, how about the US and elsewhere? Do shops even open during Christmas???

In Australia everything is closed until after the new year. It's the difference in culture...I've observed that in Singapore at least, Chinese New Year is regarded as being a lot more important (at least among the Chinese majority) so that's when all the shops close. Conversely, Christmas is seen as just another holiday with some loose traiditons attached to it. But it's very different in most Western cultures where they really regard it as a time to spend with loved ones, etc.

Funny thing is in Malaysia, the malls are open for business even during Chinese New Year. Even KFC proudly claims that they are open 24/7, 365 days a year, even during CNY.

Then again, we have a mix of different races here, so while some folks is celebrating some festival, the others are enjoying a holiday... and SHOPPING!
