battle scenes : think helm's deep was great? think again.........
special effects : the fire effect is very good, and also the rendering of the ghost army
storyline : there are a few gaps i noticed but maybe it's because i've read the book
for the girls : yes legolas is in a few cameos, girls in my cinema screamed

why no one likes gandalf? I personallly think that gandalf is the best, especially in part 1 (moria scene where he vs balrogs), part2 ( vs with king theron who has been "brainwashed" by Wormtongue, a spy of Saruman) and part 3 (ridding shadowfax to rescue faramir and his soldiers at Pelennor Fields)

Speaking of him, I notice something, Gandalf never ages. I mean if you follow from The Hobbit, he is at least 200 years by the time of LOTR.
