That's a cute 3450 you have, fanless and soundless. Probably can make a good little HTPC outta it. And the sound card, awesome! I could make my home stereo outta it, or I could pair up with a good mic for my classical music mixing.

It is probably the first gen XtremeMusic. It got discontinued pretty fast along with my X-Fi Platinum (they had to differentiate it more I guess)

similar spec is xtremegamer but with no gold plated connector and it can be used as a low profile card.

discountinued probably too many people buying it compared to their more expensive or cheaper range.. .. LOL ...

it's actually the same card as the Platinium (just with less ram on it =/)If i not mistaken..hehe...thats why i was hunting for this card XD...and yeah, it's the first gen XtremeMusic ;D

Ram is the same. Only difference is that it doesnt come with the IO panel.

I haven't noticed any strange sounds, are you using latest drivers? I have however noticed people accusing me of wallhacking because I can hear where they're going and jump into their face guns blazing.
