suggested price is usually higher than the one you get in the retail market. Manufacturers do not usually price it lower than the market as doing that will kill their board partners.

right now GS is going for 200USD in the states, which is NOT bad..

I think that the 6800GS doesn't worth the money. I would go with 6800GT or even the 6800ultra instead.
