The main source of extreme aggravation for me was that Word tries to be too smart and ends up completely messing things up. The most stressful periods of using my PC were the times that I had to use Word ![]()

If its just for internal use, then I can throw away MS Office, but when there's thick documents to be worked on with clients who r stuck with MS Office due to their company policies, then there's not much choice there. I guess that is the main reason why Microsoft is so much against the Open Document Format, 'cause that will more or less break their monopoly on the Office Suit should it they follow the implementation properly. However, the main problem with Office now is as the article states, getting too bloated. Not much of a reason to upgrade to a newer release if you've already got an existing copy of it, as even now, I dun make use of most of the features of the version that I've got. |
