Default Kingston:adds Data Recovery Software to"Ultimate" Line of CF Memory Cards

EasyRecovery Professional version 6.1, the latest data recovery software from Ontrack, is designed to retrieve photos that have been corrupted or accidentally deleted. EasyRecovery Professional provides a complete, easy-to-use interface to recover photos, providing photographers with added peace of mind and greater image protection.

The write speed of a Compact Flash card, along with the speed of the camera itself, determines how quickly photos can be stored on the Compact Flash card. Kingston’s 2/4/8-GB CompactFlash Ultimate cards (rated 133x) can efficiently write images to the card as they are continuously captured by the camera, allowing a seamless flow of imaging information from camera to memory card and maximizing the overall speed and functionality of the digital camera system.

The addition of the new 8-GB, 133x, CompactFlash Ultimate card provides a powerful solution for photographers who are using more advanced imaging applications and need both the additional storage and speed of a high-capacity memory card. When used in conjunction with matching high-performance digital cameras Kingston’s 8-GB CompactFlash Ultimate card will provide ultra-fast transfer times with read speeds up to 23 MB/sec. and write speeds up to 20 MB/sec.

“The demand for higher speed, and image recovery software is growing among professional photographers and serious amateurs,” said Scott Chen, Vice President, APAC Business Development, Kingston.

Kingston’s CompactFlash Ultimate cards are 100-percent tested and backed by a lifetime hardware warranty and free technical support.

Well, I think I got some utility with the Extreme 3, not like I'm going to use it anyway!

All marketing gimmick really.

Eh, can't say that. I've had some photos go corrupt on my Kingston Elite Pro for no reason at all.

Fortunately, they were only product shots and I could retake them. What if they were photos of Angelina Jolie smooching with Brad Pitt????

Umm.. Isn't that what the software is for?

BTW, I could view the photos on the camera's LCD panel, but when I extract them, they were half-corrupted.
