I just saw the roadmap yesterday (by msi). intel is supposed to shift to DDR3 in the second of next year

wow, that's much much earlier than amd..
i heard that amd will wait for the ddr3 market to be matured b4 releasing their own products...

well that's according to the roadmap i saw.
intel can change memory tech without much problem. it's more flexible for them (not for the consumers though) since they don't have to touch the processor.

But if its just a few months, then I may choose to wait. UNLESS IF RAM PRICES DROP!

One thing I've liked about intel is that having the ram controller on the chipset gives you a bit more flexibility.
