Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – (2 November, 2007) – Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the world’s largest independent memory module manufacturer, successfully organized it’s first charity walk event raise funds for National Cancer Society of Malaysia to support its efforts in cancer research and promotion, at Taman Arboretum Kiara, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail on 21st October 2007. There were approximately 450 participants who completed the walk so Kingston donated RM 9000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia.
In conjunction with Kingston 20th anniversary, Kingston donated RM20 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia while one attendee completed the walk. A mini booth by the National Cancer Society that was setup also received donations from participants and was very helpful in providing information about cancer to the public. Furthermore, a total of prizes worth RM30, 000 sponsored by Kingston Technology and Celebrity Fitness were given away to the first twenty winners of the walk in both male and female categories. Twenty lucky draw winners from the Count Kingston logo contest also walked away with a Kingston 1GB DataTraveler Mini Fun each.
