I am curious as well to these "incidents"? Can anyone post some details and/or links?

I think that Creative named the device the Zen X-Fi for brand recognition by its mp3 player audience as well as potentially geekier people who know the X-Fi brand.

Mostly related to drivers. They have one of the worst drivers support.
