Including operator WD Malaysia is close to 30k people if not more ..

There are a lot of engineers. Komag plants (Penang, JB, Swak) is now WD Media but so far you only get to deal with one engineer

Eh, don't count operators la...

But seriously, won't operators be the first to be let go? I should think the engineers would be amongst the last to feel the heat.

Yeah usually engineers got not much to worry about and it the manager who usually 1st on the chopping block .. kekekke

Simple la, 2 managers become one, or engineers become manager, without title change and pay change.

Exactly.. Manager are higher pay... Cut one manager, expand the other manager downline, engineers become team lead .. bla bla.. happens to many times to count..
