    I wonder how hot these things run? Surely cooler than a spinning platter... :think:

    It is definitely cooler than spinning drives.

    The ones I tested so far have a maximum surface temperature of less than 5 deg. C above ambient.

    Do they feel warm to the touch? This is the answer to the water cooler's dreams....

    Well, they are warm to the touch but not "hot". The ambient temperature here is about 29-30 deg. C (~86 deg. F), and they average about 4.8 deg. C (9 deg. F) above that. So, generally, they stay below 35 deg. C (95 deg. F)
