GIGABYTE Launches 7 Series Mini-ITX Motherboards
Taipei, Taiwan, September, 14th 2012 – GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards, today announced its latest Mini-ITX motherboards supporting 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors. The GIGABYTE Z77N-WIFI and GIGABYTE H77N-WIFI integrate a wealth of connectivity features that include Intel® Wireless Display 2.0, Dual HDMI and Dual Gigabit LAN, making them the outstanding choice for any home theater, digital entertainment system or portable gaming rig.
“The philosophy behind these Mini-ITX boards is to simply create the most connected and digitally savvy board possible,” commented Tim Handley, Deputy Director of Motherboard Marketing at GIGABYTE. “By debuting Intel Wireless Display side by side with Dual HDMI and LAN, we’re really setting a new benchmark for flexible, highly connected, yet compact system building.”
GIGABYTE Z77N-WIFI and H77N-WIFI Motherboards
Measuring just 17cm by 17cm, GIGABYTE Z77N-WIFI and H77N-WIFI Mini-ITX form factor motherboards combine a range of connectivity options that include Dual HDMI ports and Dual Gigabit LAN, plus an onboard WiFi/Bluetooth 4.0 module that also supports the new and innovative Intel® Wireless Display 2.0 technology.
• Intel® Z77 and H77 Chipsets supporting Intel® 3rd generation Core™ processors
• Onboard IEEE 802.11b/g/n WiFi
• Bluetooth 4.0 supporting Bluetooth Low Energy (BLI) devices
• Intel® Wireless Display 2.0
• Dual Gigabit LAN (inc. Teaming Support)
• Dual HDMI 1.4 ports
Intel® Wireless Display 2.0
Intel® WiDi is a new technology that allows users to wirelessly share content being displayed on your PC monitor with a compatible display or HDTV*. This not only removes the necessity of using untidy cables, but also allows you to easily display your videos and movies on a screen in another room.
Intel® Wireless Display 2.0 technology supports display resolutions of up 1080p which means you don’t have to compromise on image quality, while HDCP 2.0 and 5.1 surround sound ensure excellent audio.
Broadcast to HD content from an office PC to the living room
GIGABYTE 7 series Mini-ITX motherboards are ideal for building a Home Office, Studio or Den PC connecting dual HD monitors over HDMI. The Dual LAN configuration can be used to connect both broadband Internet and NAS, while the onboard Intel® WiDi can be used to broadcast HD content to the living room TV. Note: the audio feed comes from the TV via the AV center or TV speakers.
Home Theater PC
A PC based on a GIGABYTE 7 series Mini-ITX motherboard is the ideal supplement to any Home Theater setup, displaying media content to a HD TV with an additional control display that allows users to monitor, manage and cue up streaming and stored media content. The PC can also be connected to broadband Internet, acting as a WiFi access point. Additional HDTVs can receive content via Intel® WiDi in another room e.g. the bedroom or kitchen.
A Compact Gaming PC
GIGABYTE 7 series Mini-ITX motherboards are also the perfect platform for building your own portable gaming PC. With an Intel® i7 Core™ processor and Intel® HD4000 graphics or even a discrete graphics card, DIY builders will be impressed with how much raw gaming performance you squeeze into a Mini-ITX chassis. Consider the Z77N-WiFi the ideal start for your next LAN Party rig.
